Our small gin distillery in Essex is located just off of the estuary in Landermere, where the pace of life reflects the time we take to produce every bottle of Gin so that each one brings happiness to the gin lover.

As an Essex Gin Company our gin is a celebration of the North Essex coast, the people and the nautical history of the area.

It’s definitely where the heart is.

We are located in Landermere on the beautiful Walton Backwaters, the tidal estuarine saltmarsh between Harwich and Walton.

So different every time you visit. Calm and tranquil, idyllic for kayaking or swimming one moment, then wild and foreboding the next as the grey sky blurs with the grey waters.

Ever wanted to distill your own recipe gin? A delayed Christmas treat and well worth the wait! A fascinating and informative evening led by Nicole and Simon who were the perfect hosts! Learnt so much about what goes into gin making and came home with a bottle of our own gin made from our own selection of botanicals.

Hidden Gin Gem in the Essex Countryside Came along for one of the free weekend tours and learnt a lot about the history of gin making and lesser known botanicals that can be sourced along the Essex Coast. The icing on the cake was getting to try the different gins and liqueurs they make on site and get recommendations of the different mixers to try to mix up my G&T game.

An unexpected gem! I would thoroughly recommend this tour. I booked it for my husband’s birthday and it turned out to be a real treat! The talk was interesting and full of information about gin making, as well as giving a real insight into the trials and tribulations of being a small local business producing gin. On top of this, the gin tasting was enjoyable, informative and full of tips and hints to help you get the most out of your gin! All of this was made possible by the friendly and welcoming owners. We will definitely be coming back soon to top up our gin supply!

A great afternoon out! A really interesting and fun afternoon in this great local distillery. Learning the history of Gin and how it is made and of course the tastings were most enjoyable. Ben was really knowledgable and it was fascinating to hear how they produce their gins. Bought some great Christmas gifts too! Went with a group of friends and everyone loved it. A must for Gin lovers!
